About "ADRENALIN DROP"

ALPS Outdoor, a division of ALPS (Scotland) Ltd was formed by Duncan Stanners in August 1994. Duncan’s 30 years experience ranges from being an industrial and commercial steeplejack, offshore / onshore rope access technician / supervisor to present day Helicopter pilot.  Since the company was formed, Duncan has carried out every site survey and has been present at every event.

Back in 1990, Duncan and a group of friends who were all involved in climbing gave up some of their weekends throughout the summer months to help raise funds for some local charities by organising and running abseil events.

These events continued on an ad hoc basis until August 1994 when Duncan formed ALPS (Scotland) Ltd.

Since 1994 ALPS (Scotland) Ltd have set up and organised over 600 abseil and zipline events.  We pride ourselves in being the first company to organise and run charity abseils in Scotland.

In 1995, we were once again the first company to organise and run zipline events and since then many companies have copied us but most have fell by the wayside.  Over the past few years we have been inundated with requests for a new type of event for both corporate and charity events, an event that would draw the public, an event that would raise the excitement level, an event where both children and adults could take part side by side.

In March 2010 Adrenalin Drop was born, no other event can match the excitement, the thrill, the fear factor or participant turnaround of Adrenalin Drop.

Our fully trained, experienced and friendly staff has worked with tens of thousands of members of the general public since 1994 at these events without incident.

We have organised these events for charity fundraising days, corporate work events, gala days, schools and colleges.  The age ranges taking part in these events have been from 4 years of age up to one lady of 93 years old and a gentleman aged 97 years old.

The safety of these events is paramount with no compromise.  For each event our package includes a full site survey, full written report including photographs of the site, risk assessments, method statements and recommendations to ensure that the event is ran in a safe and professional manner.

We also liaise with the landowners and local authority departments such as Environmental Health services to manage and cover all safety aspects.  

We can boast to be one of only 3 companies in the UK to have been audited and approved by the Health and Safety Laboratories in the study of good practice in the safety management of temporary zipwire events.

To date we are the only company still in existance of the original three who were audited.

We, as a responsible company carry all the necessary insurances and training certificates for each of our events.

Our events take us all over the UK including Northern & Southern Ireland.
